The recent restyling has not affected the vocation of this reliable establishment in the hinterland not far from Gallipoli. Since its origins, the 'macara' (witch, in the local dialect) Daniela Montinaro has been proposing dishes that combine an unorthodox tradition and soft exotic suggestions. Emblematic among these are the pasta and potatoes with scampi and green tabasco sauce and the bbq pork ribs with chicory and sweet paprika. The "Paris Brest" is essential. Good cellar and warm service. I count on 40 euros.
