Cristiano Andreini is a chef who needs no introduction in Alghero and Sardinia. He returned to his island a few years ago and has taken over his family's restaurants. Among these is Il Refettorio, a contemporary trattoria that he has expanded (by renovating some neighboring places), thus creating a sign dedicated to pizza (and other delicacies that come from the deli counter). There are few, but good and fair pizzas on the menu, including the classics - the ever-present Margherita, Marinara, Napoli, Contadina with seasonal vegetables or quattro Formaggi - and the "others". The latter give space to the creativity of the chef and the most particular ingredients are the protagonists, with a careful eye to the enhancement of local artisans, so that the name of the rounds is inspired by some manufacturers. The Bottarfish adds to the heart of tuna, zucchini and ricotta cheese, the Mammai in addition to the compote of spicy cabbage has sheep's ham and eggplant in oil. Everything can also be ordered in the historic Refectory or under the outdoor porch that connects the two locations.
